Just Another Post

Oh what a day! After hours of standing, and moving, and getting things done, I finally get to sit and breathe. Like I said I would yesterday, I worked in a showroom, Rue Du Mail, today. However, unlike I was hoping, no stories to tell. It was all work, no model fainted, no designer had a "diva-moment", and no agent exploded.
But here are a couple of pictures from my escapades these past few days:

A picture with Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist. And here is a picture with his woman, Garance Dore:

I'm a huge fan of this couple...you can tell from my silly big smile.

And this is a picture with the sweet Tamu McPherson of All The Pretty Birds. And finally:

Paris Fashion Week

It's been a while since I've been here. I have been...let's just say...under the weather. Finally got out to feel the buzz of Paris fashion week, and finally I got some decent photos to share with you guys. These pictures were taken after Christian Dior and Isabel Marant showed, and the razzmatazz after the show was incredible. So many dramatic looks, but I managed to capture the pictures of people I knew and who I have always admired...and some others.

Elisa Nalin

I love the way she (Elisa) wears colors, and her short platinum blonde hair is insane.

Tamu McPherson
Tamu, of All The Pretty Birds, is just as sweet as she looks. She was nice enough to take a picture with me (which I hope to post later).

Ulyana Sergeenko
Oh my she is stunning! My faux-tography does her no justice.

I don't know her name but I've seen a few pictures of her on The Sartorialist. I can imagine why he takes her picture, there's something quiet but appealing about her.

And there was this dude who was watching the whole drama from his corner, like he wanted in, I bet he has a fashion soul. He warmed up to my camera pretty good.

PS: Every picture in this post was taken by me!

A Hunt for Treasure...

A couple of days ago I said I was thinking of roaming a very popular street in Paris known for good vintage finds, and I did yesterday. The weather was perfect for roaming with the sun out...or so I thought when I was dressing up to go out. So there I was walking the street of des Rosiers, it was beautiful and I was captivated, no lie. I found myself walking from the beginning of the street to the end more than a couple of times. Everything was interesting, from the buildings to the people to the stores- it seemed the whole place had a concept to it, just like the vintage things found in the stores, everything looked well used or worn over the years, in a good way...I dunno if I'm making sense here but I liked it sha.
So the questions are:
did I buy my super hotpant I told you about?...Nope
did I buy anything at all?...Yep, a beautiful midi pleated skirt.
will I share a picture of it with you guys?...Yep
Also I took some pictures while walking around. Although I was hesitant at first, as I've been a little (ok, a lot) insecure about my photography skills of late, but after a mental prep talk with myself, I brought out my camera and took some pictures. I'm no Scott Schuman or a Garance Dore, but practice makes perfect they say.

It's nice to see people layering with bright colors, it gives positive energetic vibes to their environment, I definitely smiled when I saw this young lady (Above).

She (Above) had the cutest smile, and was shy but nice enough to let me take her picture.

The french have a different attitude towards the so called "It- Bags", but that will be a discussion for another day.
Remember I said it was sunny while I dressed up, then suddenly it became cold, so crazy cold I forgot about taking more pictures and ran back home...smh. Ok people, that will be it for today, au revoir...xoxo.

AMFW Street Style: A B See me now!

Hey there fashion people! Like I promised, I bring to you all the juicy bits of Arise magazine fashion week...well all that I could get my hands on. It wasn’t easy but I pulled through somehow. The Arise fashion week made for some interesting sights on and off the runway.
While the runway was on fire with amazing pieces from different designers, street style had its own sizzle on the sidewalks. I had my camera (as always) and captured the looks that caught my eyes, now I get to share them with you :)

Embrace Colour...Embrace Brights

I heard through Chinese whispers that colour is the new black. So you bored with the neutrals in your wardrobe, switchover to the knockouts with dazzling brights, and be ready to feel positive and uplifted...yep!

Easy style tip- wear your brights with a neutral to look refined but not confined ;)
