Crisp White Man Shirt

At the risk of sounding so lame, I ask: what is life without a crisp white man shirt? I know I'd be floating on a confusing cloud of neon and print to say the least. Seriously though, if I found myself on an island or desert (or wherever you don't ever want to find yourself) and I had to pick only one item of clothing to live in, it would definitely be a white man shirt.
To be more precise, I would pick this particular one from Uniqlo:

I wore it to church with my tailored peg trousers, and gave the look a little sensuality with my red sole pumps.
I've worn it in many different ways, and I still think of a million-and-one ways I'm yet to wear it. What do you guys think? Do we share the same sentiment towards a white shirt, or am I exaggerating the necessity of it to living?

My tye dye print dress...

I got this dress because it reminded me of the Nigerian tye and dye print, I love it more because of the big cut-out at the back.

Zara dress; Newlook sandals; and Asos sunglasses.

I wore it when I was exploring Barcelona, and I like that it's easy to wear. I felt free in it, and it certainly feels good not having to bother with those "entrapments"...if you know what I mean.
I thought my nude sandals were perfect for it.

PS: Oh now I'm in Lagos, and it feels good to be pampered :D
Have a good weekend people...xx

Barcelona: A breath of fresh air...

After Milan, Barcelona was our (my friends and I) next destination. For me, it was love at first sight. I loved everything about the city: it was fresh, clean, welcoming...a breath of fresh air after Paris and Milan, if you know what I mean.
I felt at home...oh yes home, I could live there forever if given the chance.

The only problem was we dint have enough time to spend there. We had a couple of days and no hour to waste. So immediately we got to our apartment, I changed to something more comfortable and we hit the streets and parks.

The next day we walked around some more, visited the Convent Agusti:

And spent some time on the beach.

Sum it up to say, it was amazing.

Milano!

I took a short break from Paris. I decided to visit a couple of cities with a few friends. Milan was our first destination. I don't know what exactly I was expecting from the city but it was definitely not what I got.
But looking on the bright side, the weather was beautiful and I finally had a healthy dose of shorts.

Zara denim shirt and lace shorts; Newlook sandals, LV bag; and Asos sunglasses.

I also had good company.

With Mariama and Bubu.

With Terence.

We walked famous streets like Montenapoleone which is the most fashionable shopping street in Milan, and visited Duomo.

We also had our McDonalds moment.

Finally, the last day in Milan and I was happy Barcelona was next.

Randomly Moi

So happy the crazy weeks are over. Now, I have some days to stretch out my legs, take deep breaths and watch some series. Then, it's back to the daily challenges of life...*fingers crossed*
Here are a few random photos of my daily style...some of which I took a while back but never posted.

New Look top; Zara baggy jeans and shoes; Pim Kie necklace; Louis Vuitton bag.
Zara tank and baggy jeans; H&M jacket; New Look scarf and sandals.

It's really hard for me not to wear those baggy jeans everyday. They are so cool and easy to wear, I just have to decide what length I want to cuff them in.

New Look top; Topshop pants; Asos loafers.

H&M top; Wana Sambo skirt; Mango bag.

And finally:

Zara top and trousers; Asos collar; Aldo purse; Miu Miu shoes.

This was my graduation outfit. The dream was to wear a beautiful dress and have hours to fix myself up, the reality was this pair of slouchy trousers and less than 30 minutes to get ready...don't ask what went wrong. Anyhoo it was a good day.
Now, back to stretching legs, taking deep breaths and watching series ;)

I Love Me Some Leopard...

It's been oh-so long I dropped my daily style post. I've had...still have...a lot on my plate. I get so busy each day that the last thing on my mind is to take photos, and when I remember to, I look so tired in them and I don't want to share...let's just say me looking tired is not highly appealing.
However, today I wore my leopard print shorts, and I love them so much. So much that I managed to squeeze out not just the time to take photos, but also some smiles.

They are vintage from err-I-can't-remember, but the shop was huge and overwhelming...I was totally confused. So when my friend Bubu discovered this beautiful leopard piece, I selfishly prayed for them to be too small for her. Ha! my prayer was answered, they were my perfect fit.

It's still a little chilly in Paris, I'm still busy like crazy, I'm still bad at vintage shopping (hopefully I'll always have Bubu with me), but I hope to always have something inspiring to share with you guys.

Amsterdam: Queen's Day

Koninginnedag, also known as Queen's day, is basically the day the dutch celebrate their queen's birthday. It's a big deal, and it is when the dutch let their hair down and loose. The sober colors are ditched for orange...and it's orange madness everywhere!

I was even tempted to wear orange as well, but opted for my mickey mouse top...have I ever told you guys I love mickey? ah, that will be another post.

There were parties on every street with DJs playing house music (I guess), it was so much fun. But I fear I may never see the color orange the way I used to anymore.

And that sums up my visit. All things considered, I had a blast in Amsterdam, and would very much love to go back.

Amsterdam: My Red Coat...

By now, you guys already know I love my red coat...yep, that one. I've worn it so many, many times on my MDS.

I'm pretty sure I could wear it every day of the year, but that wasn't the plan when I left Paris. You see, after checking the weather reports of Amsterdam for the week, I was confident I wouldn't be needing thick outer-wears. All I had to do was wear one out of unrelenting cold Paris.
However, I should have known better than to rely on weather reports. It was a little more chilly than expected on the first three days and I was stuck with my red coat. That dint stop me from roaming the city and all its corners though.

Finally, the weather gave way to some warmth, and I could even have some yummy ice-cream.

And it only got better afterwards.

Amsterdam: Drops of Prints...

The fun started the very first minute we got to the city. We switched our travel clothes for something more appropriate immediately after we got to our apartment, then we hit the street.

What I'm wearing: Zara dress, coat and shoes; and Stella McCartney purse.

However, what we considered appropriate dint exactly blend in with the Amsterdammers, everyone was dressed in the sober colors of black, grey and brown. Let's just say we got a lot of pretty side glances.

It was an amazing evening!
